Book The Thirty-Third

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

The sequel to The Hunger Games, continuing the story of a dystopian future where young people are forced into a Battle Royale-style fight to the death.

A worthy sequel to an entertaining story. I did like how Collins managed to write what is, in essence, a book aimed at teenaged girls that had a guaranteed body count of almost two dozen; all of whom needed to be, due to the dictates of the story, killed at close-range in nasty ways. In any event, my students inform me the third book in the trilogy hits in August, and I’ll certainly check it out, even if, like I did with this one, I wait for the school library to order in a copy.
