Book The Thirty-Seventh

Rebel Angels by Libba Bray

The sequel to A Great And Terrible Beauty, this one is more of our plucky teen heroine being angsty and vacillating between hating and loving her friends, all pretending to be a book about magic.

This is a book about being a teenage girl, not magic, but now that I knew what to expect, I dealt with it a bit easier than the first book. I did like how Bray managed to make a period piece that actually had a bunch of contemporary teen issues in it, even if, bless her American heart, she was trying way too hard to make it seem properly British.
