Book The Twenty-Sixth

Mage by Matt Wagner

A bearded loner meets a magician and finds out he is destined to be a great hero. A nice little story, but nothing that grabbed me, which was disappointing. Mage has a reputation that (in a much, much smaller way) parallels that of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman – a genre-defying thing that got non-comic readers excited. I didn’t see it. Like I say, a nice story, and kept a decent pace, but nothing I’d gush about particularly.
