Book The Twentieth

Archenemies by Drew Melbourne

The conceit of this one is simple: two flatmates who hate each other also just happen to be the world’s greatest super hero and his villainous nemesis, and hilarity ensues.

This wasn’t great. It was alright, but it was trying very hard to be the sort of the Giffen and DeMatteis did, and I read this very soon after Hero Squared. Archenemies, clever as the high-concept is, didn’t come off well with the comparison. Good idea, but you may as well just pick up Hero Squared, or some of the Giffen/DeMatteis Justice League stuff – they’re done better.
