Book The Second

Zombie Haiku, by Ryan Mecum

This is much cleverer than it sounds.

It purports to be a bloodstained poetry journal taken from the hand of one of the living dead in the days following a zombie outbreak. Starting off detailing life’s wee pleasantries, it then goes through the narrator’s attack at the hands of a shambling corpse, his transformation, and subsequent hunt for brains.

All in haiku form.

A very quick read, so you might blanch at paying twenty or so dollars knowing that it will be done in little more than half an hour, but I really enjoyed this one.
